When did it become okay to be mad instead of happy? Did it happen two years ago when a whole nation voted in a certain man (who won with a land slid victory) to become president and then suddenly become angry with him after you voted him into office? Or did this whole thing begin with the great British leader during the early and mid 1900s that would have rather seen Mohandas Gandhi die of hunger before he would agree to grant peace and freedom in India, or did it start with a man that changed the face of the earth as we know it today by dying one of our world’s most brutal deaths to only give everyone’s soul as chance to be saved and receive eternal life?
Okay maybe that’s to extreme; these are all figures that you may never and will never be in touch with, well then let’s bring this thing closer to home. Have you ever had a great day just for no reason? I mean everything went right; at home, on the job, in your personal ventures, I mean everything was cool. But then you get home and you tell yourself,” Today was good but it’s no way that tomorrow can be the same”. You then go home, eat and go to sleep unhappily readying yourself for a day that would never compare to the day that you just had. Okay that’s not you? Well let’s make it plan, why do people (not you of course) take the time to examine everything that’s wrong with their lives instead of focusing more on what’s going well? I will never know why, but what I do know is that failure is hard, fear is real and work is harder. And I also know that failure hurts less when you’re already down, fear isn’t as scary if you’re always scared and work’s not that hard if you don’t work at all. And that’s the state of most of us now in the American community.
I often think that I can overcome all these things by talking to people and giving my point of views, but the truth of the matter is people will always choose being sad over being happy, it’s just way easier. And let’s face it, we need the unhappy people; without them we would have never had our first black president of the United States of America to face the fact that, “yeah I got in but I’m going to have to work even harder than any other President that ever held this office”, or without the outburst of Winston Churchill the world would have never sided with the strong will of Mohandas Gandhi and his India country to obtain freedom from the British government. But most of all if it wasn’t for people looking for the worst in things instead of the best in things Jesus himself wouldn’t have had the chance to shed the blood that covers all believers/ non-believers/happy and mad people around the world.
So God bless those that stay happy and weather you like it or not God bless you even if you’re mad.
Peace-
